I needed cover art for my story, so I spent a while making this. The full version will be up momentarily. I wanted a non-post-processed version up as well.

Oh, also, no reference image for you. Why? Because there wasn't one! This is freehanded, fillies and gentlecolts. :D

A little clarification: Applejack has died. Rainbow Dash has not stubbed her hoof. Yes, I'm a terrible person.

Because storytelling, that's why. I'm writing a whole universe around this in the form of fanfictions. The one that goes along with this is both the start and end. Look at it this way: AJ had a pretty awesome life, fell in love, and got to spend over 30 years with the pony she loves. It's a happy story when it comes right down to it. :3
